THE “BEST 4G STARTUP” CHALLENGE
Bouygues Telecom launched the “best 4G startup” Challenge this summer to promote young French companies that are developing innovative uses based on 4G technology.
The 3 winners are:
- First place: REMINIZ, which won € 40,000
REMINIZ’s Whoozat project enables celebrity facial recognition from a tablet or smartphone. The application then offers personality news, videos or links to download.
- Second place: GAMETUBE, which won € 20,000
The GAMETUBE NomadCast application allows the sending of live HD video from a smartphone. The user can send the video he is filming in real time to a website or to a social network.
- Third place: BISTRI, who won € 10,000
BISTRI offers a web based video conferencing solution based on WebRTC technology. It allows real-time audio and video conversations through the browser, without having to create an account and download third-party applications.

ZOOM ON REMINIZ, THE WINNER OF THE 4G CHALLENGE
REMINIZ is an application that allows you to recognize celebrities via your smartphone and gives you access to all the information of these celebrities.
You point your phone (camera) at the celebrity. You get his name, biography, latest events, tweets. You can also buy his movies, songs and tickets for his events.
It works on your TV screen, in magazines, and even on a real person.
REMINIZ significantly reduces search and offers a new user experience.
4G makes it possible to make optimal use of the service: sending the photo and then retrieving information from the various sites (Wikipedia, Twitter, Allociné, etc.) are much faster thanks to the 4G speed. It also allows a better user experience because it no longer perceives the loading time of HD content (trailers or full films).
